Time-lapse video: Earth at Night

Have you ever wondered what our planet looks like at night, from space?

Virtually every astronaut that has orbited our planet said the views of Earth from above were the most wonderful part of the entire experience.

Now, via the wonders of time-lapse photography, you can enjoy the same views the astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) enjoy.

Check out this incredible short video that was created using thousands of images that were captured from the crews of the ISS.

The views you'll see are simply amazing, including clouds and storms (complete with multiple flashes of lightning), seas of endless city lights and the breathtaking beauty of the aurora borealis - aka the Northern Lights.
