Q&A: Am I the only one that hates microfiber towels?
Question from Mary Jo: I have what's probably a dumb question Rick, but am I the only person that absolutely despises microfiber towels?
Every time I go shopping I see tons of them so people must be buying them.
I absolutely detest microfiber material because it sticks to my hands in a really creepy way. And besides, to me it seems like it’s not absorbent at all.
Does anyone really like microfiber towels or am I just weird?
Rick's answer: I don't think that's a dumb question at all, Mary Jo. And you're certainly not weird just because you dislike something.
Now to answer your question, you're certainly not alone with your dislike of microfiber cloths. I don't like them either, for the same reasons you stated above.
What's more, if you search Google for the term I hate microfiber towels you'll see that it returns over a million search results.
Like you, I just really dislike the feeling of those microfibers. And frankly, I just don't understand their appeal.
Of course not everyone agrees with us or they wouldn't be buying them. And truth be told, they're buying LOTS of them.
But that being said, there are plenty of folks like you and me who'd rather use plain old towels than ones made from microfiber.
