2 easy ways to prevent auto-flushing toilets from flushing prematurely
Have you ever been using one of those increasingly ubiquitous auto-flushing toilets and had it flush on you before you were finished with the business at hand?
Yeah, me too. And it's not a very pleasant experience, to say the least.
It seems like the sensors on those things were designed to trigger a flush with even the slightest movement!
Well, today I'm going to give you two simple solutions for preventing any auto-flushing toilet from flushing on you before you're ready for it to work its magic:
1 - If the design of the toilet allows it, simply drape a short length of toilet paper over the sensor.
The TP will prevent the sensor from detecting your movements and assuming that you're ready for it to flush.
2 - If you find yourself regularly using auto-flushing toilets with sensors that can't easily be covered with TP, get yourself a pad of really small Post-It Notes and use them to temporarily cover the sensors.
Something like the little 1-1/2 x 2 inch size Post-Its work like a charm, and a pad of them fits easily in a shirt pocket or small purse!
Of course some folks don't consider the hair-trigger sensors on many auto-flushing toilets to be a problem, but I happen to detest them.
If you detest them as well, now you know two simple ways to nip that problem right in the bud!
